Waiting for Snow

The snow was predicted to start around 10 AM. I went out this morning and filled the empty bird feeder and checked the suet feeder. From time to time I looked out the window, and even took some bird pictures through the glass. The snow did not arrive until mid-afternoon and did not accumulate until around 5 o'clock.

By that time it was too dark to get clear photos. I did get a couple of dark photos like shot #3 showing a white-throated sparrow.

  3. I do the same: putter around, filling feeders in anticipation of snow. At this point, I'd love more snow. It protects the flora and fauns!

We have had a couple of days of deep cold. The skies today look like snow is possible.

  8. I bet the birds were very grateful that you fed them before the snow, and will enjoy their feast today as well. Yep, the weather people still have trouble with timing of their forecasts...tending to err on being early rather than late I think.
