A few words from Charlie

Hi, it’s me! I’ll give you a quick update on what is going on

I saw my friend Tripod a couple of times.

Such a friendly cat deserves a special portrait.

Mom took me to the state park a couple of times. As you can see, I am alert in the car and ready to drive.

I also got to play with Sadie. She likes to show me her toys, and then pretends to be mad when I play with them.

Yesterday, Mom and I picked up Mr. Frank and Miss Deborah and we all went up to to Skyline Drive. I did not see any deer or bear, but I could smell them.

I saw farms and cows like I do all the time.

Here I am at Riley Park today. I sniff everything. That’s how I explore. You should try it!

Charlie’s Ordinary Week

Hi, it's Charlie! I don't have any big news this week, But still, I had a pretty good time.

Here I am at Edinburg Town Park. They have lots of tall trees to sniff. Here’s an artsy picture of me.

We saw some sheep outside of town. 

There were cows too.

Today I visited Sadie. We had a good time, but I got tired.

Early October in Charlie’s World

 Hi, Happy Dogtober! Here I am at the County Park.

And here is an artified photo for Caturday. This is not my friend-cat; this is one that avoids me. 

I had a pretty good week. I got to play with Sadie several times. She had a new toy but she does not like to share toys with me.

Lynn came to see me one day and she brought a coat for me that she called a taco. At first, I did not like it at all. 

She kept saying I was cute, and that made me feel better.

One day I saw something strange in Strasburg. 

Today I saw something strange in another town. October is getting weird already and it is just starting!

Saturday Critters with Charlie

Hello! Here I am at the state park on Sunday.

We also stopped in Edinburg and saw a petting zoo. I had to watch from the car while Mom went over and took some pictures. 

One afternoon we saw my friend Tripod.

On Thursday we went to a mill. I stayed outside with my friend while Mom went in to look at the art show.

Yesterday Mom took me to Riley Park for a walk. 

Well, that’s about it. I got to play with Sadie today and now I’m very tired!

Four Years with Charlie

Hi, it's Charlie! Yesterday was my "Gotcha" day. It's been four years since I adopted my mom! Here's a picture from when I was nine months old and went to the dog park for the first time. I have grown since then, and gotten braver too.

We did not get to go to the dog park to celebrate because it rained all afternoon. It did stop for a little while, and we went to the state park, but we didn’t stay long because another storm was coming. I was disappointed when we had to leave.

Mom gave me a yellow squeaky toy, but it looks scary so I didn’t put it with my other toys. I dropped it in front of the door instead.

We did go to the other part of Seven Bends State Park on Sunday,  and it was a nice day except for being hot.

Sometimes I see my friend Tripod when we’re on a walk.

I got to see Sadie several times this week.

One day Mom took me to Riley Park.

We saw a butterfly and a metal dog.

I hear that there’s a holiday for some people on Monday. I recommend going to a park and spending time with your friends.

Hi! Here I am the dog park in Strasburg. No dog friends came to play, so I ran around a while and then we left.

On the way home, Mom drove on a small road and look what we saw!

Mom said a man carved that face in a dead tree. It looks strange to me.

In Toms Brook

Other than that, I didn’t go far from home. I did get to see Sadie a few times. We like to walk together.

One evening, Mom and I were walking, and we saw a deer in our neighbor’s yard!

Sometimes when we are on our deck, we hear buzzy things. Mom calls them hummingbirds. They are small, and they buzz away as soon as they see me.

Well, that’s all I can think of. The weather has been nice.
