Waiting for Snow
The snow was predicted to start around 10 AM. I went out this morning and filled the empty bird feeder and checked the suet feeder. From time to time I looked out the window, and even took some bird pictures through the glass. The snow did not arrive until mid-afternoon and did not accumulate until around 5 o'clock.
By that time it was too dark to get clear photos. I did get a couple of dark photos like shot #3 showing a white-throated sparrow.

ReplyDeletetake care
...It came here, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the birds watched you as you filled the feeders. Nice photos of the birds. Hope you didn't get tons of snow.
ReplyDeleteI do the same: putter around, filling feeders in anticipation of snow. At this point, I'd love more snow. It protects the flora and fauns!

I am thankful that we had rain instead of snow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteWe have had a couple of days of deep cold. The skies today look like snow is possible.
the birds are so pretty, we are so lucky to see them and appreciate them. maybe you will be able to get some good pictures today, if the snow hangs around!! it is snowing here right now!!
ReplyDeleteI think your photos are SUPER! I've probably mentioned it before, but I'm always envious of you seeing those jays!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, my thanks goes out to you for sharing this all with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin this weekend.
I bet the birds were very grateful that you fed them before the snow, and will enjoy their feast today as well. Yep, the weather people still have trouble with timing of their forecasts...tending to err on being early rather than late I think.
ReplyDeleteWell this is the answer to my question on last post 😀 Three very sweet wee birds Linda, love the third shot with the snow ✨
ReplyDeletelovely birds, hope it didn't snow too much!
ReplyDeleteI hope we do not get snow. Lovely photos. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteThe birds are lucky to have your “cafe” open for them in this weather ... they are paying you with great photo ops!

ReplyDeleteGood for you taking care of the birds before the snow comes in. News of snow sends Tulsa into a panic!!
