Such a lively sculpture
ReplyDeleteA lovely tribute. I know that she used to spend a lot of time on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, but I don’t believe that I have read any of her works.
ReplyDelete...I like, "Make a Memory, Not a Mark!"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sculpture! Take care, have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteGreat sculpture to memorialize Willa Cather. I always think of her as an author of the western states, so it's good to see she's appreciated at the Museum of the Shenandoah. Now I know the sculptor, Littleton Alston was an black artist of Virginia.
ReplyDeleteWilla Cather spent her early childhood in Virginia. She did write one book set in Virginia.
