...I've come to talk with you again...
Those are, of course, the opening lyrics to the Sound of Silence. I think of them when the days get short at this time of year. It’s difficult to adjust.
Surprisingly, some flowers are still blooming in my yard, even though we've had frost several times. The zinnias are totally brown and my marigolds finally succumbed. About half my reblooming irises closed up but there is still a patch of them blooming in a protected spot of the front yard.
I call these my flowers but most of them were planted by Mr. Angles, the previous owner.
Love that tree - I think it has its eye on you ;)

ReplyDeleteThose are pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe odd bloom or two has persevered here, but they will be gone now, under the blanket of snow that has fallen through yesterday and overnight, with more to come. Not as dire as they had forecasted though.
ReplyDelete...lovely images and a lovely song.
ReplyDeleteGostei de ver estas belas fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Seasons have gone mad, here as well
ReplyDeleteWe agree about adjusting to the darkness this time of year. It's a struggle for us, too. And we have some flowers still blooming, too. Our outside geraniums are going nuts, for whatever reason. :)
ReplyDeleteBautiful serie of pictures
ReplyDeleteHello and greetings to you too, I've always liked that song too, and it's quite fitting for this time of year. Lovely photos thanks for sharing them. Take care and enjoy your weekend.
