ReplyDeleteI love covered bridges. They have such a sense of people's mastery and need for crossing water to get wherever they needed to go...and the artistry of wood used to do so.

Last weekend while in Elizabethton, we finally found their covered bridge but we were unable to find suitable parking to get out to photograph because they were having a festival. The next time we're in that area, we will return to the site for some picture taking. :)

i love this area, love the bridge... that was 1 of our 1st dates when the hubby and i met. he was driving a mustang ... now it is gone (sold it) but fun to look back. ( ;
