High Water at Riverton Landing

I suppose with a name like Riverton you expect a bit of water.  Normally this boat landing and park are not this wet!

I took these pictures on Monday around noon. I heard that later the river crested even higher! This in on the North Fork of the Shenandoah just before it joins the South Fork. You can compare these scenes with pictures I took three years ago.

  1. Very interesting. We live not too far from the Skagit River and often take pics of the boat launch when it is underwater. Crazy huh. Good shots

  2. Oh my! That's a lot of water. I hope it recedes quickly.

  3. I saw that it had rained a lot while we were away. Hopefully the flooding has gone away by now.
