Faded Images

These faded scenes were on the wall at the funeral home in Clifton Forge. George's funeral was fairly small, but a few people sent word that they were snowed in.

And here are a couple of old snapshots I took back in the early 70's, with George Javins, Spotsy, Lynn, and Marie.

This is Blog Post #7800.

Let's brighten things up with some new collages. The flowers were in stores.

  1. I'm sorry you've started the year at a funeral, but it's always good to see the spring flowers appear and cheer things up.

  3. How sweet, to post photos of your late husband. It's good to have memories of him with your daughters. Those paintings may have been painted in that kind of washed-out way on purpose!

  7. Linda - by reading the comments, I have figured out that George was your ex-husband. My condolences to you and your family.

A friend of mine has a magnificent amaryllis and it adds so much color to our otherwise white and gray world. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday with your colorful bouquet!

  8. How sad that you had to start the year with a funeral. I think the faded images fit well. I call them subdued, which one feels in a funeral home. Lovely spring flowers, though.
