Mural on a Bottling Plant

This painting still decorates the Northern Neck Bottling Company in Montross. I read that the plant is no longer in operation. At one time it was famous for its tasty ginger ale.

"Sprite Boy" appeared in ads between 1942-1953.

Monday Murals / Mosaic Monday

Over the years I posted quite a few pictures from the Montross area. Here is a collection of some of my waterfront photos.

  1. Those are the days! I love the pink in the sunset.

  2. Very interesting. I like learning about old buildings

  3. Linda - I am so glad that building is still standing. It's a beauty in red brick! And a keeper with that vintage mural. Thanks for sharing with Mosaic Monday!

  4. Happy the building and mural are still standing Linda, hope they find a good use for it. Beautiful collage 💛

  5. Hello,
The mural and brick building are keepers! Beautiful shots of the waterfront. Take care, enjoy your day!

  6. How great to see a mural that has been kept, and apparently is in good condition! now I wonder what the little white haired guy who's on the mural is called!

  7. Beautiful vintage mural Linda. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.

  8. That is a lovely mural.

    All the best Jan

  9. Virginia is really full of fun murals. As we drove by recently, I wished we could stop -- but we had a long day to get home.

  10. I've never heard of Sprite Boy, but it's nice the Coke mural is still there and totally untagged. I apologize for visiting so late. I'm having trouble leaving comments.
