Old Railroad Depot, Town of Shenandoah

Page County, Virginia
Built in 1883. No longer a passenger station.
Boxcar with Graffiti.

  1. I do like the look of the old station house.

  2. The railroad station looks so classic - not the functional monstrosities we tend to see today.
Thank you for sharing your photos at

  3. ...I sure like old train stations and this brick one is wonderful.

  4. I love seeing the old railroad stations. Up until the 1960s they were the center of life. BTW, that bridge in my post was constructed in 1908 and is still in use. Luckily the northern plains is not an earthquake zone.

  5. Very sweet old building...the same shape as our frame depot, which sells arts and crafts these days.

  6. Uma pena, quem me dera voltar no tempo....amo estações.
E essa é uma graça! bj

  7. Such a cute train depot. I used to live in a town where the old train depot was turned into a popular restaurant. Have a great day.

  8. 1883? Wow! What a cute little depot. We have some old railroad stations around us, some of them still working.

The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.
