The squirrels still come through looking for food. It's been a few weeks since I saw a goldfinch, though.
The deer in the final picture was in Shenandoah National Park. It's standing in a patch of milkweed.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

In Poland red squirrels are more common than grey ones.

ReplyDelete...a nice collection, it's going to be a hot one here today.
ReplyDeleteWonderful wildlife photos. The goldfinch really stands out, he's so bright.
ReplyDeleteHello. Wonderful serie of photos. Beautiful birds. Photo of deer is artistic and lovely.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it is warmer here and the birds and insects are not so numerous. Have a good day Diane
ReplyDeleteCiekawe, ze teraz też karmisz ptaki! W Polsce raczej karmimy tylko zimą. To zmusza ptaki do jedzenia szkodników w ogrodzie. Tak zwalczyłam w tym roku mszyce, bo ptaki je bardzo szybko zjadły! Piękne zdjęcia - gratuluję!
ReplyDeleteThe goldfinch and deer photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSix lovely photographs, I enjoyed seeing them all :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
You make a good point that you don't see as many birds when it's hot, but also, they aren't as territorial when they are finished nesting, so they don't sing as much. We are seeing a few wrens in our yard as well as the standard robins, cardinals, and too many House Sparrows.
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
The deer seems curious.
