Thankful Thursday. |
We are still seeing shortages in stores. This was the paper goods aisle in Target. I was also dismayed to see they had removed all the recycling bins.
Like many stores, the clerks are no longer filling our reusable bags. If you fill your own, you are not supposed to put it on the counter because it could be unsanitary. So now they are giving out more plastic bags than ever and refusing to take them back for recycling!
Please stand 6 feet apart.
No hand shakes!
A similar request is posted at a farm market in Linden, but extra politely:
Please maintain 8 ft. of Kindness!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe thank you sign is great. I love the rooster.
It is a shame there will be so much more plastic.
Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
...Linda, you found some wonderful signs. We have a Thermo Fisher facility here too. I just read that paper products are often made from recycled office paper and that isn't available like it once was and this is leading to shortages. Yep, guns are essential y'all.
ReplyDelete8 ft of kindness....I like that! It's crazy about the bags though. What a waste! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteOur local recycling center has closed for the moment. We used it each week and are missing it. More trash for the landfill. Sad times.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to thank you for linking up! I appreciate it!
ReplyDeletei really love the thank you sign, i have been wanting to make one!! i have not been in a food store in months. the husband went the end of march. i placed one peapod order and one amazon pantry order. between all that and the meal plan we receive, we have done pretty well!!!! it is very sad to see those empty shelves in food stores!!
ReplyDeletemy heart breaks for small businesses, the signs are good reminders for all of us!!!
Love the signs...appreciation is the order of the day...and extending any bounty to others.
ReplyDeleteLove that first sign …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
A great series of photos for these times Linda.
ReplyDeleteI admit I find it odd that sporting goods is deemed essential.
ReplyDeleteNice collection of signs. We do owe our gratitude to those essential workers on the front lines.
