On Thursday I explored a little bit of the area where 522 heads out of Winchester towards the northwest. There was still snow on the ground and the sky was pretty so it was a good time to take some pictures.
I almost drove past the
Beth El building without seeing it. From the street, it doesn't look very big but there is more in the back.
The Barn Collective: Pass Route 37 and you find yourself in the country. The farms look fresh and bright in the snow.
I only drove out Golds Hill Road for a short distance because the hill ahead still had ice and snow on the road and I don't know the area. I like to be sure I can find a place to turn around if the road gets slippery.
Soon I was back is familiar territory. I've been to the Virginia Farm Market before. The big apple is a local symbol. Winchester is in the heart of apple producing territory.
Love the snow in these pictures - finally got to spend some snow time with my family, although I did end up going to Norway to do it!

ReplyDeleteGreat to see snow (though I'm glad you're cautious on slippery roads) and how fields and barns are enhanced by it!
