Sunlit Scenes and Friday Memes.

1. Yesterday I shared some pictures of firetrucks in Strasburg. The occasion was National Night Out, when fire fighters, police, and other safety officers mingle with citizens for a summer celebration. We had a few raindrops and then a lovely rainbow, which happened to shine on the flag being flown from a hook and ladder truck. I was glad I brought my camera.

Skywatch Friday.
2. Here's a different view of that ladder, converted to black and white. I cannot imagine climbing that thing, but I know the fire fighters practice until they master it.

3. Here's Ranger Tom from our new state park sharing an exhibit with a child. The park, Seven Bends, is scheduled to finally open this fall.

4. Let's change the location to one I visited today: Sky Meadows State Park.  Flowers are blooming, including sunflowers.

5. Here are some butterflies on thistle flowers.
Floral Friday, Fences, and Friday Bliss.
6. Turner Pond is a nice spot to enjoy some reflections and watch for wildlife.

  3. Wonderful series! The ladder looks amazing as a pattern - but very scary to climb.
