"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean." ~ John Muir

Theme: Spirit
Post #6390
City Daily Photo challenges its members to do a post with a certain theme on the first day of each month. July's theme is Spirit.
When I need to refresh my spirit, I like to head for the mountains. Shenandoah National Park is not far from us; in fact, its famous Skyline Drive is just a few minutes from where I often shop in Front Royal.
There is something about being up there that's both calming and inspiring. I love to look out over the valley and watch the clouds. Even rain clouds can be pleasing to watch.

...that will do it!
ReplyDeletePerfect choice for the theme Linda.. I couldn't agree more, your view over the valley is truly uplifting ✨
ReplyDeleteBeing in nature does the same for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful interpretation of the theme -- Nature is my way of refreshing my soul/spirit as well ... and to be able to look over that view from that hill would be perfect (I will take any outdoor place I can get to easily though!).
ReplyDeleteMagnificent views!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful views--that would renew my spirit as well.
