A Variety of Critters

Saturday's a good day to post animal pictures for Saturday's Critters and I'd Rather B Birdin', and I've got quite a few from the past month. Let's start out with a nice horse for Black and White Weekend

This house sparrow is a male. He and his sweetie are nesting in one of my bird houses again. (I'm just assuming that he's the same one I watched last year.)

Flash borrowed a pair of my reading glasses!

Of course, I felt obliged to help him out, since he didn't know how to put them on.

Next is one of the rabbits that live in our yard.

The little finch does not seem perturbed by the monster bird behind him. Actually, it's just a goose.

Next we see the goose strolling off.

The final picture is a cell phone shot of a deer at the entrance to Skyline Drive. If you go there, drive slowly. Wildlife often wanders onto the road!

  4. Love the horse, the deer, and the birds, but Flash is my favorite. Love the glasses. I have a friend who puts sunglasses on his blue heeler. The funny thing is, he leaves them on and seems to like them. :)

  9. What a great variety of creatures! Such a good photo of the deer, I always seem to spook them when I try to get photos (They can hear that zoom lens, I think).

  10. I would love to travel Skyline Drive again ... deer would be wonderful bonus. (We're used to those kinds of roads from Oregon -- you do have to be careful especially at dusk). Flash looks very comfortable in those specs ... you may have lost them. Bunnies are my favorite thing in the world to see when I go for morning walks. I'm convinced they bring me luck.
