This church near Edinburg looks rather sad. I don't know whether services are still held here. I hope the current owners will fix it up.
Up the hill from there is an old barn that could also use some fixing up.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

...a nice snapshot of your neck of the woods. The simple white wooden church wonderful. I like the barn even is it's 'undressed.' Thanks Linda for stopping by, I hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteDoes look rather sorry & needing some TLC
ReplyDeleteIt's from all the kids moving to the big city. At least that's what I've heard about the buildings that are no longer cared for.
ReplyDelete'Rays of Hope Church' - It would be a shame to let it fall down
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
A little paint does wonders
ReplyDeleteThe old church could use a fresh paint job.
ReplyDeleteA fine series of successful pictures. I too hope the old church is still active, or at least maintained.
ReplyDeleteThat is fun looking for photo ops on the back roads -- you found some wonderful places and I love the treatment you used on that one. Looks like the Church is being used for Spanish-speaking people and that seems good. Maybe they just bought it and will fix it up eventually -- be interesting to go back and check it out.
ReplyDeleteI hope they spruce up the church too. Just a little work could make such a difference. I like how you used the photo filter.
ReplyDeleteGreat.
