Macedonia Church

Although I've passed Macedonia Church Road many times on the way to Stephens City, I had never sought out the church. I found it last week and it looked charming, surrounded by brilliant colors of autumn.

Some young church members were there and they invited me inside. This church is only used for events such as weddings, as a new larger church on the property is used for Sunday services.

A plaque outside the building explains that two previous churches on this site were destroyed by fire. One was used as a hospital during the Civil War, as so many public buildings were at that time.
