Murals at the Fairgrounds

I was delighted to see this permanent mural on one of the buildings at the Warren County Fairgrounds near Front Royal. The eagle and flag are beautifully rendered and the bright background represents our local mountains against a blue sky. There's even a ferris wheel to the right of the flag.

The third photo shows a visiting mural. It's on the side of a fun house that was hauled in by the carnival people for the county fair. Looks like a Mardi Gras theme!

  11. The fair was a mural-rich experience to be sure. I like your notion of a "visiting mural." Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  13. I bet it took someone a long time to paint those murals.
