Small Town Parade

In a large city a parade usually features marching bands, but in a small town like Middletown there was no band, only a smattering of pre-recorded music. But this Independence Day Parade had the elements that we see in other small-town parades: veterans, local politicians, beauty queens, fire engines, floats, tractors, and classic cars.

Middletown is in the Shenandoah Valley northeast of Strasburg.  It's home to Lord Fairfax Community College and the Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historic Park.
