Skyline Drive Faves of 2013

Overlook
I took quite a few pictures on Skyline Drive this year and never even posted most of them. (That's a problem with taking so many — they get overwhelming. I intend to do better this year.) We live about 20 minutes from Skyline Drive, which runs the length of Shenandoah National Park.

I particularly like these two. Do you think one of them should be a finalist for my best photo of 2013?

  5. We drove the skyline drive for 2 days in April, and I've never posted any pictures! I really love yours; I'd vote for the 2nd. I love those blue hills disappearing in the distance. Maybe I'll revisit those photos and memories sometime this winter.

  6. They're both gorgeous shots.... worthy of finalist status, but I'd say the second one.

In regards to your question at my blog, I do have daytime pics of the monument. Click on Confederation Park among the keywords, and there'll be a post on the monument taken in the daytime among the posts with that common keyword.

  8. They're both lovely but the second one shows off all of the subtle shades and depths of those mountain.

Happy New Year to you and yours.
