He seemed to be a friend or sibling of another squirrel who has visited us before. I'm including his picture too so you can see how full a normal tail looks.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

Nice photos, delicious and playful squirrel ...
ReplyDeleteIt is a tough life being a squirrel. They visit my bird feeder all of the time, and sometimes the cat will catch one. Nasty accident here I guess.
ReplyDeleteNow that's an interesting observation. Glad the squirrel lived to be photographed!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to him, he's probably lucky to have survived it! Nice pictures!
ReplyDeletePoor thing! I hate to see animals that have been hurt like that. At least you are helping him/her out by feeding them.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
ReplyDeleteNice squirrel.

It's nice to think of squirrels as having friends, just like we do. Especially nice that this squirrel has you as a friend since, as you point out, it has obviously experienced some hardship in life. Sweet photos :)
ReplyDeletePoor squirrel. Glad he's found an easy food source and an good friend.
