The Case of the Copied Cathedral

Here we have a photo I took at Shrine Mont and another one someone took at Nature Camp near Vesuvius, VA.

The older of the two structures is the Cathedral Shrine at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs,, consecrated in 1925. When the folks at Nature Camp decided they wanted an outdoor cathedral, they sent a team up to Shrine Mont to take photos and measurements. Thus they were able to build a remarkable copy.

Nature Camp has been teaching young people about the environment since it was founded in 1942 by the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs.
