Shenandoah Election Brief

Yesterday's local elections were not too inspiring in our area because many of the candidates ran unopposed. The supervisor's race in our district was "an upset" though - the incumbent was defeated by 16 votes! See Baker Ousts Patrick article.

We joined district 2 when we moved across the resort last year. So now we vote in Conicville instead of Orkney Springs, although Conicville is farther to drive for us.

Meanwhile in nearby Rockingham County, a dead person won an election. See Connellee’s Posthumous Win Sets Up Special Election.
