Bird feeding season is officially over at my house. Well, except for hummingbirds and what's left in the suet feeder. I won't buy more birdseed until cold weather returns. The birds can find plenty to eat on their own.

Goldfinch and Junco
My Birdfy camera stopped working a month ago. I tried the usual recharging, resetting, and pressing the power button, but it didn’t work and I’m not going to worry about it for the time being.
The picture of the dark eyed junco is from March. I cropped it but I didn’t brighten it, so I hope it looks okay. My vision has been “off” and now I’m not sure if I’m seeing things darker than they really are or not. I still have a cataract on my right eye and I don’t plan to have it removed until there’s no choice. It’s been a year since I had the cataract removed from my left eye, and my vision is still worse than it was before that.

These are both great photos, Linda. The one of the dark-eyed junco looks fine to us. Sorry to hear about your cataract, and the slow recovery from the surgery you had previously.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the Birdfy camera and your ongoing vision challenges. The junco photo sounds lovely, and it’s completely understandable to wait on the cataract surgery until it’s absolutely necessary.
ReplyDeleteBetween your cataract and the Birdy camera you are not doing well with things optical.
ReplyDelete...two wonderful visitors.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThey are both cute birds and great photos.
Happy May to you, have a great new month!
Happy May Day or Beltane, as the old celebrations call it. Keep on photographing birds, scenes and pups! Digital cameras do most of the work for your eyes these days. And I do hope yours work better for you soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have winged visitors stop by. Now they'll on their annual vacation.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photographs of these two birds.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
