Different Crop and Color
I took two snapshots of some folks at a sidewalk table. I believe they are tourists. I found the color to be a bit jarring, so I decided to convert one of the pictures to black and white. It is also cropped differently.
Do you find that the color version tells a different story? There’s an old saying that “Clothes make the man,” and although I try not to be judgmental about clothing, they can have an emotional impact.
"For the apparrell oft proclaimes the man." — Shakespeare

I love the first B+W version
ReplyDeleteThe first version of your own reality is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the color photo.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white is good - I like the way the child's expression shows. The colour version? Jarring is a polite word :D
ReplyDeleteIf ever there was a case for black-and-white, this is it. More than jarring I would say, and the people seem lacking in taste of the most basic kind. They should take their hats off at the table, especially the refined chap wearing his baseball cap backwards, an affront to sensibility.
ReplyDeleteBother versions are great. The colors are bold.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend.
The black and white looks a bit softer and gentler. The color says something completely different. Great observation.
ReplyDelete...clothes make the man, but perhaps they should have read the book, "Dress for Success!"
ReplyDeleteGreat street click, Loved BW version
ReplyDeleteI like both versions. I was a punk rocker in the early 80s and I 'm sure I was judged a lot for my clothing choices. We all have different tastes and they usually evolve.😊
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, doesn't it work well in b&w!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
