Unrelated Pictures for Friday

Both pictures show something with a reflective surface, but their subjects are not from the same place or day. I’m just grouping them together because I have two miscellaneous pictures that happen to fit two weekend blog hops. The artificial flowers in front of a mirror are for Weekend Reflections.

The second picture is for Black and White Weekend. Did you recognize it as a lightbulb in a box?

It’s helpful to me to have topics for today because I’m feeling distracted. The pain in my knees feels like burning, and the events in my country have my mind spinning.

  1. ...I never thought of taking a photo of a lightbulb in a box!

  3. the second has something abstract about it that I really like. I like to find these effects in the real world. If you hadn't told me what it was all about, I'd still be looking.
I wish you courage to overcome the pain. As for what's happening in your country, I think it's a catastrophe worse than September 11 and the Vietnam War put together. We've finally figured out what MAGA stands for, Moscow's Agent Governs America. In any case, it's a fine bunch of morons and incompetents who have been put in power.

  4. What’s happening in your country affects the rest of the world unfortunately.

  5. I'm no longer communicating with the MAGATs in my family. I now blame them for this mess. And since I don't know their thoughts these days, I just assume they are blissfully continuing to praise the central idiots in charge.

  6. Two very nice photos for the theme. I share your concerns. I wake up every morning now wondering what next, and the news only seems to get worse.

  7. You asked about the fern mural I took photos of. I looked up Bliss Nails, the shop shown in the photo. Their address is 11033 Lee Hwy., Fairfax, VA 22030 just in case you ever get out this way.
