The View from Lake Arrowhead Road

Page County

When I spotted this mural, I was excited because I collect mural photos and I like seeing old barns. Let’s take a closer look. There’s a tractor, cows, a farm couple, and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I was very pleased at having found a subject that had two of my frequently photographed categories. I said, “All I need now is a country church.” Then I glimpsed a parking lot through the trees and slowed down and sure enough…

Morning Star Lutheran Church

The reason I was on that road was a brief visit to photograph Lake Arrowhead.  I can post those pictures another time but here’s a preview.

  1. That is a fine looking rural mural on that barn. Now the rest of the barn could use a little paint.

  2. This is a beautiful barn and mural. The church cemetery looked like it had some very old graves.

  7. I about fell over when I saw you had posted so early this week. That is a fabulous all American farm mural in farm country. Nicely done and you certainly found a good one, Linda. Nice photo from the cemetery and lake, too. Love that panorama view of the lake.

  10. It's like you won the photo hunt trifecta!! Wonderful finds. It's so cool that the beautiful mural is painted on a barn not even a public building. Love it. Lake Arrowhead looks like a beautiful place.
