Flowers not Fuel

Mount Jackson, VA

This adorable flower shop is located in a former Pure Oil service station built in the 1930's. I've seen other buildings like it in Virginia that were also service stations. I recall that some of them were still selling gas when I was younger.

Recently this one was restored by the Holtzman family who owned it. I must say I was excited to see how nice it looks.

  5. ...locally we have two gas stations that look to have been built with the same set of blueprints as this one. This is an iconic image from the past. Thanks Linda for sharing it.

  8. Great idea to turn it into a flower shop. I would head for that place. Always enjoy the old gas station pumps, a nice bit of history.
