The Covered Bridge at Meems Bottom

This bridge crosses the North Fork of the Shenandoah near the town of Mount Jackson. The name of the bridge refers to bottom land (alluvial plain) owned by the Meem family.

The bridge was built in 1892 and reconstructed in 1979 with steel beams underneath.
