Wildflowers and Restaurant Random-osity

The Good: There are plenty of wildflowers in Shenandoah National Park this month. The Park Service has made a nationwide effort to help the monarch butterfly by letting milkweed patches grow. Therefore I've been able to get butterfly pictures there, even with my cell phone.

Mosaic Monday. (Made with PhotoCollage.)
The Random: I spotted this mural in a restaurant in Manassas yesterday. The map is made of actual license plates from various states.
Monday Murals.
The Fun: We were at the restaurant to meet Allison for lunch. When she showed up, it was obvious that we were accidentally color coordinated!

  1. Linda - wonderful butterfly shots. Our bee balm is blooming now and I have noticed increased butterfly traffic, although no monarchs! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

  14. Glad to hear that the National Park Service is planting milkweed. I have yet to get any to grow in our yard. Fortunately, some of the flowers I've planted have attracted different types of butterflies. A big yellow type has flown through a couple of times. I think some monarchs flew through in the Spring when it was migration time.
