The Mill at Sugar Loaf Farm

This is the only known brick grist mill in Augusta County, Virginia. It was built by David Summers prior to 1830 using design principles of Oliver Evans, noted engineer and author.

We saw this while taking a Historic Garden Week tour on Saturday. It is located on a beautiful estate where cattle are raised.

  2. Linda,

I love beautiful old buildings. This one looks great and so does your day. Ours was pretty special, too. :)
