Linda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my not-so-WW linky party! I used to keep the bird feeder stocked and it was such a delight to watch them flock to the seeds from the comfort of our dining room window. The kids loved it and it was a fun way to learn about them as we later would identify them in books. I forgot a lot of what I learned from those days but I do recognize most of yours featured here. I believe the last one is a Mockingbird. That crazy thing is Tennessee's state bird. They terrify me, too. I had an encounter with one, one spring outside of Kohl's. I guess I must have passed to close to its territory as it flew near me repeatedly scaring the life out of me. Now, every time I see one I keep my eye on it and pray it doesn't attack me. :)
I saw my first purple finch the other day
