The Theme is "Wet"

As I mentioned yesterday, the current challenge at City Daily Photo is the word "Wet." I have plenty of pictures that might qualify, and in the past I have posted many bodies of water, waterfalls, fountains, rainy day images, dog baths, swimmers, even a car wash! I decided to go with a current image that also qualifies for linking to Viewing Nature and I'd Rather Be Birdin'.

I considered this image of a puddle that I took yesterday in Front Royal, but decided to go with the geese because I like how that white one seems to be dodging the splash that another goose made.

This great blue heron isn't particularly wet but there's water behind him. I like that the geese are looking at him. I wonder what they're thinking?

I cropped the next picture so you can seeing the Canada Geese landing on the pond.

Last of all, here's a pair of muscovy ducks on the water.

Drop by CDP Theme Day and see how other daily photobloggers are meeting the challenge.

  1. I love puddle photographs, too. I never miss checking out what might be reflected in a puddle.

  6. All your photos are praiseworthy but that last one looks like a painting! And, our California Towhees would be all over that puddle. I'd rather be birding, too.

  7. My favourite is the first one. I do wonder, particularly when you've got radically different animals like a bird and turtle in close proximity, what they think of each other.
