On the Streets of Middleburg

When we were in Middleburg on Sunday, I left my camera in the car and snapped these pictures with my cell phone.

I was surprised to see a family crossing the street with a miniature horse and even more surprised when they walked it in and out of a shop! It turned out that the animal is in training to be a "therapy horse." It will visit nursing homes and such to offer cheer to residents.

This girl kindly posed for a picture.

Middleburg is in Loudoun County, Virginia. It was established in 1787.

Mosaic Monday

  1. It is really great to see your photos of Middleburg Linda. This is a town I visit frequently throughout the year, and one of my favorite places. Never seen anything like the little service pony, that's very special. Lovely to see the town through your camera lens. Thanks for sharing.

  2. What a great idea a therapy horse is and how kind the little girl is to share her pony with others.
Thanks for slipping into Mosaic Monday, you may be our last entry this week!

  3. Don't think 8've seen a therapy horse before!

  4. Awww, the tiny horse is cute!

  5. Great pictures. I would have been surprised to see the horse go into the shop too!

  6. Love that little pony, they become similar to a big dog given training and love

  7. What a wonderful idea - a therapy horse.

    Good to see your photo's.

    All the best Jan

  8. Now that's a first, A Therapy Pony. It sure was cute.
