4. Below is one of our dogwood trees, which just changed color a few days ago. It looks glorious!
5. Autumn is the time that trees bear nuts. Here some have landed on a parking lot. When I drove over them, they cracked with a loud noise.
The View from Squirrel Ridge features thousands of views of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. I post frequently so please visit often.

This is a great time of year to be out enjoying things.
ReplyDeleteSlipped by fast, I was in shorts yesterday.
ReplyDeleteVery nice collection of photos. Fall is approaching fast.
ReplyDeleteThat Halloween spider at the landscaping company is awesome!!! The hills [what you call mountains - growing up in the Colorado Rockies at 14000 ft. above sea level I just say 'hills', lol] are very pretty. And I can imaging the sound the nuts made while driving over them. Beautiful fall colors on your tree too.
ReplyDeleteLove the Halloween decorations! Our trees are in full autumn color mode here in Oregon.
ReplyDeleteThe fall colours were late here as well. Dogwood trees are quite rare here.
ReplyDeleteFun decorations. Beautiful colors -- greens and fall. Fun little figure with a lot of meaning! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from Las Vegas and I wanted so bad for the leaves to still be pretty.... I missed it. I told the Hubs next year I am not going anywhere in the fall. At least until the leaves are pretty much done for.
ReplyDeleteThose are fun decorations for Halloween. The trees here seem to be in all stages. Some are still completely green, some are changing colors, and some have already lost their leaves. Seems like a crazy fall this year.
ReplyDeleteWow - I'm amazed at how green everything is in your area. We're way past peek foliage here - the leaves are all falling.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely season to get plenty of colour in your photo's. Thanks for sharing them
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
impressive.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. It's interesting to see the foliage still green in your part of the world, although it is Autumn. Our Spring is late in arriving this year, more evidence of global climate disruption perhaps...
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for contributing to the Friday Greens meme.
