The Mimslyn Inn

This gracious hotel was opened by the Mims family in 1931. It sits on a hill in Luray, Virginia.

We finally got around to going there for our anniversary lunch in June. Our meals were not spectacular but mine never is. I have food allergies so my dishes are plain and stripped down.

The dining room is elegant and I was delighted to see it has murals.

  1. Oh my, what a place! Talk about a mansion on the hill. Thanks Linda for sharing this treasure, you live in the land of treasure! Enjouy your day and I hope that you stop back again.

  2. the murals add a touch of elegance to eat around.

  3. That hotel looks very elegant! I love the murals too!

  4. these murals look very much at home here!

  5. The age of The Great Gatsby with a color way of Maxfield Parrish. Wonderful, especially given the setting. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  6. I think I could take the less than exciting food just to be there is that beautiful place. Your pictures really do give us a feel for it. genie
