Looking Down

The first of the month is "Theme Day" at City Daily Photo and the current theme is "Look Down." I went up an outdoor stairway at the Strasburg Ramada Inn, hoping to find a dramatic vantage point from the observation deck. Unfortunately the upper levels are not open so I had to settle for a second-story view.

In the third photo, we are looking toward Cedar Creek. I imagine that if you could go up to the top level during a reenactment, you could see smoke rising from cannons on the battlefield.

  1. What a grand view in the last photo. And the stair perspectives create interesting designs.

  9. I can't get enough of mountains and hills and valleys after our half year stay in flatland Florida. I don't think about how much I missed them while I'm there, but as soon as we hit the mountain states in our way back to Oregon ...then I know. So I loved seeing your beautiful Shenadoah ...even virtually.
