The Dosh House, Circa 1778

Today we went on the Strasburg Heritage Holiday Homes Tour. The oldest house on the tour was this log building on East Washington Street. It is maintained by the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

The house is known as the Dosh House, after a family who owned it for many years.

There are several log buildings in Strasburg, plus more that are partially constructed of logs.

  1. Log houses look so charming, but I bet they were cold in the winter.

  2. I agree, the house is really charming. The inside is interesting as well, I can hear the creeks and noises as you walk through it.
