The National Road in Laurel Highlands

We were in the Laurel Highlands on October 25th and autumn color was at its peak. I pulled off on an overlook on U.S. 40, the National Road.  The view was gorgeous and there was even a landscaped veterans' memorial.

I'm sharing this with Good Fences. There are a couple of fences plus a jersey wall in the first photo, and there's a nice stone wall on the overlook.

This overlook is near Laurel Caverns in southwestern Pennsylvania.

I even liked the painted trash barrel!
