Wet Muscovies

Muscovy Ducks after a Rain Shower

duckThis was a few weeks ago. We haven't had any measurable rain since then so things are looking dry.

This pair lives at the community lake beside the other kinds of ducks. One of these birds had an infection this summer. A kind neighbor took him to the animal rescue in Millwood and he recovered. He looks well now.

  3. This is a first for me....these ducks actually coming in from the water!!!! Around here, I've only and ALWAYS seen them on the banks of lakes.

    Great photos. Love the one with its wings open.

  5. How sweet someone took that poor bird to the vet! Wonderful that it is better now. The pictures were cute...the pair all water-logged! :-)
