Refuge UMC

churchSometimes I like to take a road just to see where it goes and that's how I happened upon this pretty church out in the country. It's official address is Stephens City, but that post office covers a huge area, much of it rural.

I'm sharing this with the Inspired Sunday blog hop, which is a great site to visit if you like the architecture of churches.

Across the road from the church is a farm, and these cows were looking at me curiously.

  4. Such a pretty country church.
The cows I find comical , it's almost like they are saying something like "who's that over there". Pretty picture.

  7. Pretty little church. I see one of your readers left a fairly low comment... I think cows - at least in the UK - are more curious (and more aggressive) than they used to be.

  9. We 'wander' down roads a lot, too. This is a great little place you found.

  10. Taking a road because you have never been on it before is what it's all about. It takes me forever to get from point a to b. What great fun. Tom The Backroads Traveller

  11. I've often wondered if anyone does a church meme. I like taking roads to see where they go, too. Loved the cows watching you.
