Looking Out, Skyline Drive

deerIn case you haven't noticed, I love the scenery at Skyline Drive! This is the road that rides the ridges through Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. It features numerous scenic views and hiking opportunities. I feel very fortunate that it's not far from our home.

  1. One of my favorite places also. I think we live a little further away than you do but we can still reach it in 45 minutes and visit several times a year. Your photos are gorgeous and show why I love this drive so much.

  10. We also love Skyline Drive, although it takes quite an effort to get up there. But the views are alaways worth the drive.

I grew up in D.C. My mom used to drive us kids out on Skyline Drive to visit nature.

  16. May be you can see our farm from there! Those are a pectacular photos. I love the colors. The lady's jacket (in the last photo) somehow gives the landscape depth. Very nice touch.
