The Mill at Carter Hall

In the past we've enjoyed attending Art at the Mill in Millwood but they did not schedule a show for this fall because the sponsoring organization is busy with other events including ones connected to the 150th anniversary of Sheridan's Valley Campaign. But there is another mill nearby that I'd never been inside, so I was delighted to see on Steven Walker's website that a substitute art event was scheduled there.

The Mill at Carter Hall is a lovely place that is rented out for events. Unlike the nearby Burwell Morgan Mill, it does not have milling equipment any more.

I enjoyed seeing it. The art show continues through October  12th.

Looking Down (and Across) from the Balcony
Coincidentally, another art show begins at the Edinburg Mill on October 11.  The art scene is growing throughout the Shenandoah Valley, to the delight of those of us who enjoy viewing paintings and sculpture.

  3. Thats a nice looking building.

The plates on trucks and cars don't have a date on them - its not really that old - 20 years? - but it looks older.
