Sign: Clay From the Earth

I spotted this paper sign on a wall in Strasburg, Virginia. I have no idea why someone posted it, but "clay from the earth" refers to the raw material used for pottery, once an important industry in the town. In the 1800's the town was often called "Pot Town" and Strasburg Pottery is now prized by antique collectors. (See the Strasburg Museum history page for more.)
