Snow Comes to Virginia

Looking West from Woodstock

The mountains of Virginia got snow on Tuesday courtesy of Hurricane Sandy and the nor'easter that joined it. Here we see Great North Mountain in the distance. West Virginia, which begins at the top of the mountain) had several feet of snow in some places.

Snow in October is not usual here but we did have snow in late October last year.

  1. We usually have snow here in Pennsylvania before you have it in Virginia. So far we have been lucky in the snow department.

We've driven through Virginia several times and I've always thought it was beautiful! Love the snow on the mountains.
