Scenes Along the Wildlife Loop

Assateague Island, Virginia

The wildlife loop road is only open to cars after 3 P.M. We were glad we had the car to retreat to when the mosquitos started biting! Unfortunately they swarmed into the car and we were kept busy swatting them for a while. Frank was bitten many times; I was only bitten twice. He must smell good!

  1. Gorgeous scenery, but I don't envy you the mozzies!

  2. Thanks, Pat! We should have put on some insect repellent but did not think they would be so prevalent. They can carry West Nile Virus so they are more of a concern than they were before that disease reached our region.
