The William E. Carson Trail

Dedicated in 2011, the William E. Carson Trail begins near the boat landing at the Front Royal Golf Course. Eventually it will go through Rockland Park, but for now you can stroll along the Shenandoah River and climb a hill, leaving the golf course behind, and walk through the woods above the river.

I took these pictures in November. When I returned in January, I noticed the lower part of the trail had been washed-over by the river; no major damage was apparent.
Are these the ruins of the old clubhouse that was washed away by a flood?
