Suet Enthusiasts

bird at feederYesterday morning when I opened the blinds I saw snow coming down and a light covering of snow of about half an inch on the deck . Birds were busy at our feeders, apparently stocking up on energy in case the snow got worse. It didn't.

I took photos from the window of birds at the closest feeder, this hanging suet dispenser. Chickadees, titmice, and woodpeckers took turns sampling the suet cake.

I think this little woodpecker is a female downy woodpecker.
