It's Election Day

We did not have to wait to vote today. We live in a mostly rural area (although our home is in a subdivision of sorts).  When we arrived at the fire department in Conicville, there were only two people in line to vote. Their surnames fell in the first half of the alphabet and ours in the last, so we went to a different table to state our names. Then we were handed paper ballots that are read electronically.

I heard that some folks in Virginia waited in line six hours to vote. So I'm glad to live in an uncrowded county.

After voting, we drove to New Market for lunch.
